According to the latest Chaska Police Department newsletter, a teacher was charged with disorderly conduct for grabbing a student and pulling him across a gym floor.

Here's the report: "A Chaska Police School Resource Officer investigated an incident, which occurred between a Chaska Middle School East teacher and a male student.

"The teacher, who teaches a Physical Education class, became upset at the student after the student disobeyed an instruction.

"The teacher physically grabbed and pulled the student by the arm across the gym floor and placed him on a bench.

"The normal course of action for teachers vs. noncompliant students was not adhered to. A substantial bruise was left on the arm of the student. The teacher was charged with disorderly conduct."

Entitlement to the nth degree. There needs to be rules and consequences. There certainly was when I was in school.

How about charging the kid with disorderly conduct? This kid by his own admission has been in trouble in this class all year. It is sad that a good teacher who has served his teaching career in this district is now in court. This is not a matter that needed to go to court it could have and should have been handled within the school even his own parents thought so. Sad day for our schools. Good Luck Mr. Saindon.
