A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Northwestern Le Sueur County, Southeastern Sibley County, and Southwestern Scott County. This warning will be in effect through 3:30 a.m. Monday.

At 7:16 p.m. Emergency Management reported an ice jam on the Minnesota River approximately one mile downstream from the town of Henderson. Highways affected by flooding caused by this ice jam could include Minnesota Highway 93 (south of Henderson) and Sibley County Road 6 (north of Henderson). Residents living or traveling along these roads should pay close attention for changes in the river levels.

Be especially cautious when traveling at night. If Flash Flooding is observed due to an ice jam breaking up, act quickly. Do not enter the water, but turn around and move to higher ground to escape flood waters.

Stay tuned for further information...
