Say "Goodbye" to our snow!

It is looking like most of our snow pack could be gone by the end of this week. Our daytime highs should be in the 40's, but perhaps even more important is the fact that our overnight low temps may not fall below 32 degrees - so the melting could continue all night. But, perhaps the biggest reason of all....RAIN, from Tuesday right through Friday of this week. Hopefully it won't be heavy rain, but we do have a chance of scattered showers for a good portion of the coming week. Our high temp today should reach 45 degrees, under cloudy skies. Our winds will be light, from the southeast at less than 10 mph.

Our weather stats include a high yesterday of 46 degrees, and a low last night of just 33. Thick fog has formed overnight, due to calm winds and melting snow. The record temperatures for today are 75 degrees (set in 1987) and -10 (from back in 1967), while the average high and low for this date is 39 and 19 degrees, respectively. The Minnesota River continues to slowly rise, sitting at 8.15 feet as of this morning. Will our slow spring thaw continue, or will flooding become an issue along the banks of the Minnesota River? Stay tuned....
