Snow and rain this weekend?

There is a chance of a rain/snow mix in our forecast for Saturday, but today and Friday should be mild and dry thanks to a blocking ridge of high pressure...with a high near 40 on both days. Some morning fog may limit our sunshine, and thus limit our warming, for the next few days...but that is the price we will pay as our on-going snow melt continues to pump moisture into the atmosphere.

Our weather stats from Wednesday include a high of 40 and a low of 10 degrees. The records for today are 65 degrees (the first of three consecutive record-setting days from back in 2000) and -11 (set in 1951), while the averages for the day are 37 and 18. The Minnesota River continues to slowly drop, sitting at 8.03 feet this morning.
