The river is up another 4.5 feet overnight!

This weekend should be cloudy and foggy (like most of last week!), with scattered light rain or drizzle. The good news is that we shouldn't see much if any widespread heavy rain. We should enjoy a high in the middle 40's today...with the upper 40's to near 50 by Sunday and Monday. We may even see a peek of sunshine by Monday as well!

At the top of our weather statistics page for today is the Minnesota River. The river was sitting at 16.05 feet this morning (at 6:00 a.m.), up over four-and-a-half feet since Friday morning. Some of our commutes could become a bit challenging over the next few days as the water levels continue to rise, so we'll have to keep a close eye on things. Our high temp on Friday was 38 degrees (3 degrees below normal), while the low was just 36 degrees (14 degrees above normal, under a insulating blanket of clouds). The records for today include a high temp of 65 (set in 1973), a low of minus 11 (set in 1975), 0.78" of precipitation (from 2006), and 9.9" of snow (also set in 2006). Sunrise occurred at 6:30 this morning, while sunset will come along this afternoon at 6:18 p.m..
