I have no complaints about Commissioner Maluchnik or his service. I am running because I believe I offer a different set of skills and experiences than Mr. Maluchnik and the other competitors. Mr. Maluchnik just happens to hold the seat I am seeking.

Where do you think Commissioner Maluchnik is coming up short in his representation of the district?

Chaska is also impacted by its county commissioners. I filed my Affidavit of Candidacy for the District 3 seat yesterday.
This is my press release:
I am pleased to announce my candidacy for a seat on the Carver County Board of Commissioners, District 3. I have decided to enter the race because I believe I offer a different set of skills and experiences than my competitors.
My set of skills includes experience as an employee and as a small business owner. I have been employed as a Paralegal in a law firm, Legal Assistant in a Corporate Healthcare Setting, and as a Contract Administrator. I currently own two small businesses, Debbie’s Historical and Genealogical Services, and Gold Touch Legal.
My experience also includes board and commission service. I served as an Interim Board Member for the Jonathan Homeowners Association Board of Directors from 2007 – 2008. I am a current Commissioner on the City of Chaska Heritage Preservation Commission, and serve as its representative on the City of Chaska Downtown Master Plan Task Force. Earlier this year, I was appointed to the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice as a Public Member by Governor Pawlenty.
Educationally, I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mankato State University. I completed double majors in Political Science: Paralegal and Law Enforcement, and a minor in Business Law.
I am the wife of Chaska City Councilmember Greg Boe. We have resided in Chaska since 1996 and in the Clover Ridge neighborhood since 2002. We have a son in his fourth year at the University of Minnesota and a daughter at Clover Ridge Elementary.
In my board and commission service I have been described as an active respectful member who is not hesitant to ask tough questions or search for answers. I have been known to research issues to get a better understanding and then use that knowledge to make suggestions for improvements. As a county commissioner I will undoubtedly have the same drive for answers and the same ambition for improvements. It is a part of my nature. I believe these personal qualities will only enhance my effectiveness as a Carver County Commissioner.
