Being Thrifty by

Who isn't interested in being thrifty these days?

Recently Victoria Town Square reporter Unsie Zuege wrote about a newly formed Thrift Club that meets once a month at the Chanhassen Library on Thursday evenings. We thought the idea was a good one, and we've created a Forum where you can share your thrifty and frugal ideas with all of us.

Frugal is a lot different than being a cheapskate. Frugal means spending your money, but wisely and well, choosing quality over quantity, and learning how to be resourceful and inventive with things you already have. It's one more area where your creativity can shine. So share it!

Click here to join the conversation. And who knows? You might learn something, too.

Cut your laundry expenses by using an old (or new) knee-high nylon stocking in place of a commercial metal screen lint trap. The nylons are cheaper (and most ladies have several old ones they could “use up”) and the nylons catch washing machine lint just fine.
