Burglars ransack Dahlgren homes
On June 16, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office received two burglary reports of homes in Dahlgren Township with forced entry to the doors. Both burglaries happened during the daylight hours, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A witness in the area observed a white passenger vehicle near one of the burglaries with the trunk open. June H. Knight, 86, of Chaska, formerly of Merrill, WI and Des Plaines, IL, passed away June 13, 2011. Among others she is survived by family in Eden Prairie. A Chaska Middle School East teacher received a disorderly conduct citation (a misdemeanor) following an incident with a student, according to a Chaska Police report. At about 8:45 a.m., May 26, John Thomas Saindon allegedly grabbed a sixth-grader at Chaska Middle School East after the student attempted to run a race in his bare feet after the teacher told the student not to, the report stated.
