Chaska Building Center comes down

Piece by piece, the buildings of the former Chaska Building Center are being dismantled. The 11-acre site east of the intersection of County Road 61 and Yellow Brick Road is slated for redevelopment. It has been vacant since the building center closed in May 2008. William Douglas Luecke, age 8 months, of Chanhassen, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, peacefully in his sleep in Chanhassen. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 2, 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4th and Oak Street, Chaska, with the Rev. Greg Snow officiating.
